Learn to Draw an UFO

Follow along for a fun tutorial for a cute UFO! Download a free PDF with the drawing steps from my free resources page HERE or at the bottom of this page.

Did you know…

That the letters UFO stand for Unidentified Flying Object? The term was coined in 1950s even though UFOs have fascinated people for centuries and ancient writings have described spectacles in the sky as round shields, sparks that move around, or spectacles of ships in the air. (Read more here.)

Step-by-Step Tutorial

1

Start with a seed or a flattened football shape.

2

Add a curved line from one corner to the other, and add another line under it.

3

Add small circles above the curved lines for lights, and one curved line on the bottom for an opening.

4

You can add a U-shape to the top to be the bubble that the aliens would sit in. You can use your imagination and get creative with details for the ship.

5

Then you have the base of the ship done and can add fun details. Maybe there are some wheels for landing gear?

6

You could also add antennas, arms, claws, buttons, a steering wheel, seams and other fun things to your space ship.

7

Can we see the alien inside the bubble on the top? What does your alien look like?

8

Color your drawing in however you like. And then you are done!

I also have a tutorial for a fun alien, that can be found in the next post.
